A qualified system areas PhD student should be able to do wonderful research and develop.

System area research requires massive system experiences. Internship and communication are good ways to go.

I'm a third-year PhD student in Computer Science at the Stony Brook University. My advisor is Prof. Erez Zadok.
My research focuses on Green Storage and Operating Systems Policies, but not limited to them. I also do Research and Develop in File Systems, Storage Services, and Software Engineering.
I received my Bachelar's Degree in Computer Science at Huazhong University of Science and Technology(HUST) with great honor.
I enjoy to participate in the research activities in my fields. I have attended USENIX ATC'10, HotStorage'10, HotCloud'10, FAST'11, and SOSP'11.
During the winter break of 2009, I was working with Rick Spillane on "Exporting Kernel Page Caching for Efficient User-Level I/O". Specifically, I was focusing on the namespace implementation for User-Level I/O.
In the summer of 2010, I was continually working on the Green Project in the FSL.
During the summer of 2011, I enjoyed one beautiful summer internship program in DataDomain, EMC for power profiling in enterprise backup storage systems.
I am a member of USENIX starting from June 2010.
I am a member of ACM starting from August 2011.

CSE 502: Computer Architecture

Prof. Larry Wittie

Mainly lectures introducing modern low level computer architecture.

CSE 537: Artificial Intelligence	Prof. IV Ramakrishnan	Four projects in total for this course, involing search problems, TA assigning problems, Wumpus world problems and Naive-bayes based Knowledge deduction problems.
CSE 528: Advanced Computer Graphics	Prof. David Gu	This class is extremely heavy on theory. Under the coding framework given by the professor, five projects ranging from Mesh parameterization to Rendering were conducted.

CSE 504: Compiler Design	Prof. R.Sekar	During this class, an event-matching based language E-- was developed. We also did some kind of optimization by addding dead-code detection support.
CSE 534: The fundamentals of Computer Networks	Prof. Samir Das	Two projects were developed using NS2 to simulate the Network, in order to analyze the TCP fairness, RED and ECN mechanisms.
CSE 548: The Analysis of Algorithms	Prof. Ker-I Ko	Issues about Dynamic Programming, Graph Algorithms, Linear Programming and Approximation Algorithms were covered.

CSE 532: Theory of Database Systems	Prof. Michael Kifer	A Music Fan Club was maintained as a knowledge base that kept information about music fans, singers and their albums in three different ways: using XSB’s Datalog, combining JSP and Oracle DBMS, and utilizing XQuery which exploits greatly the Characteristics of XML.
CSE 540: Theory of Computation	Prof. Ker-I Ko	The brought up P VS NP problems had my desperate strugglings for survive.

I was the full-time Teaching Asistant for the ISE/CSE-311: System Administration in the Spring 2010 given by Prof. Erez Zadok.
I was the full-time Teaching Assistant for the CSE 506: Operating Systems class in the Fall 2009 given by Prof. Erez Zadok.
