About Me

I have graduated with MS, and I now work at Riverbed Technology, Inc..

I completed my Masters in Computer Science from Computer Science Department at Stony Brook University in December 2007. At Stony Brook, I was working in the File systems and Storage Lab under the guidance of Prof. Erez Zadok.

I did my B.Tech in Computer Science from College of Engineering, Trivandrum, India. I worked for IBM India Software Labs and Emuzed, Inc. before joining Stony Brook.

Projects

While I was in FSL, I worked on the following projects.

Type-Safe Disks

This project proposes the notion of a type-safe disk (TSD), a disk system that has knowledge of the pointer relationships between blocks. Visit the project page for technical details.

FiST

The FiST (File System Translator) system combines a set of stackable file system templates for each operating system, and a high-level language that can describe stackable file systems in a cross-platform portable fashion. Using FiST, stackable file systems need only be described once. FiST's code generation tool, fistgen, compiles a single file system description into loadable kernel modules for several operating systems (currently Solaris, Linux, and FreeBSD).
