[Unionfs] Unionfs on solaris. (Needed some help)

Hi all,

Im planning on porting unionfs to solaris.
I've have read quite a bit about it ,starting from the license wars to 
the actual code write up.
One of the posts pointed to the cachefs source thats the closest ,have 
started looking into it.
I also know that to start with it would be better to simulate the 
vnode/vfs layers first.
then start improvising on it.

As a beginner, if i was to start how do i go about it?
Please be as descriptive as possible and I need some help on this.
