We are pleased to announce Unionfs 2.1. The reason we have upgraded the
minor version number from 2.0 to 2.1 is to more accurately represent the
large amount of work that went into the code since 2.0 was first released:
2.1 has more feature than ever before and is a lot more stable. This
milestone would not have been possible without the help of so many of
unionfs's users, so we thank you all.
We are also moving away from the older release versions, named -u1, -u2,
etc. and to more traditional x.y.z version numbers. The latter are easier
for everyone to understand.
You can find links to specific releases for specific kernels in either of
these links:

There are two changes in this new set of 2.1 releases from the last set of
releases we've made (on August 1, 2007):
- when unionfs loads into the kernel, it would report its precise version
number and the kernel it was meant for. This would help users and
developers when reporting problems, and to avoid mistakenly applying old
or the wrong versions of patches or to a different kernel.
- small bugfix to the 2.6.9 port (ENOMEM from krealloc2)
As usual, feel free to report all problems you find to
<https://bugzilla.filesystems.org/>
Enjoy.
Erez, on behalf of the Unionfs team.
