[LUGSB] Mythtv

I reran mythtv-steup and I got the video out works if i have it as a v4l car and set the location to /dev/v4l/video0 or /dev/video0. It also works if I select it as a MPEG-2 card which comes up with the right card type pvr-x50. However I have no audio whenever I view it with live tv. I know it is working though because if I listen to the default recordings for live tv or a specific recording i hear sound

I have seen people usually pass the RCA audio into thier sound card or use the tv out, but I dont have the cable. I know that it can work without the  because if i just do mplayer /dev/video0 mplayer plays everything nicely I don't know if this would help but when i run the command above there is the following output from mplayer b4 starting:

[AO OSS] audio_setup: Cant open audio device /dev/dsp: Device or resource busy
AO : [alsa] 48000Hz 2ch s16le (s bytes per sample)


. Anyways i Have myth running so it can schedule recordings, and I can only watch live tv with mplayer. If there is someway to fix the audio without needling to loop back aduio to sound card that would be nice, otherwise Ill stick with  mplayer.

Also I have been having one problem with mythtv recordings. Every time I record something with mtyh the default file permission is to deny any other user access to the file. Currently the mythtv record folder is also a samba share. That way I can just stream my recordings to another pc. However with the file permissions I can't open the file until I change the file permission on linux. Is there anyway to change the default file permission in myth.

Its hard to say, in mythtv-setup you should have added a:
 Capture card Selected type & etc
 Video source -- unless you've setup schedules direct you want to say no
                         grabber
 Input connection -- link this to input source
 Select channel and tell which video source to use
