Jeff,

Just curious if the next meeting is to be held this coming Friday. I really need to get a decent, accessible (of course, for me) Linux version working on one of my Macs; preferably my Mac Book Pro. I was tooling about with Fedora 7 on an old PC that I recently dropped new ram into, replaced the M.B., and upgraded the processor. I just don't have access to the system as often as I would like, so I think putting it on my laptop would encourage me to work more with the OS.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Passing the -C command line option turns on compression which makes things
more bearable over slow links - the downside is that it eats up more cpu.

Pick your poison.
