Subject: Master the mainframe contest for students

Dear Academic Initiative Member,

IBM is running a big iron contest with no experience necessary! Your
students can take charge of a world-class system in this contest developed
specifically for college students looking for a challenge.

Contestants will use live systems and tackle real-world problems using
storage management, Java and IBM DB2. Prizes include t-shirts, iPod nanos
and Xbox 360s. Registration opens for the USA and Canada (excluding Quebec)
on September 5. The contest begins October 2 and ends December 28. Please
visit http://ibm.com/university/ecma/campaign/er.jsp?id=188033 for details.

IBM is also running the Accessibility ODF Coding Challenge in the fall 2006
semester. This challenge is open to university students in three regions:
US and Canada, Japan, and China. Separate prizes will be awarded for each
region. Direct your students to
http://ibm.com/university/ecma/campaign/er.jsp?id=188034 for details.

Sincerely,

The IBM Academic Initiative Team
