   I would suggest that the most effective way to get rid of the annoying
OOPS delay is to fix the problem that cause the OOPS in the first place :)

   Seriously, the delay appears to have been introduced by this patch:

      http://lkml.org/lkml/2006/1/4/534

   The idea is that the user should be given ample time to record the
details of the OOPS from the console before it scrolls away.  If you are so
inclined, you may reverse this patch and rebuild your kernel.
